William “Pete” Kennedy, began his real estate career with Charles Roberson Realty, Inc. around 1980. That was the first African American real estate company in Salisbury, NC, established in 1974. After about 3 years, Pete decided to open his own real estate firm in 1983, named William R. Kennedy Realty, Inc. Pete assisted hundreds of families in and around the Rowan County area with purchasing and selling real estate.
